Getting There / reprieve

Lull in our action

Happy Summer To All! It's pretty obvious that there's been quite a lull in the action - as far as Gene Yaas activities, as of late. We are still working on the recording of our debut album. Cubby Bear 12-16-2008 Thanks!

I just wanted to give a shout out and a thank you to EVERYONE who braved the snow storm and came out to see Gene Yaas, this past Tuesday. Even though it was a short set for us (Shuvit, Bangin, Geri, Law Class Blues) you all being there made it a great night. Shuvit-Bangin More to Come

Well folks with the help of cheap wine, Miller Genuine Draft and Bartel's MAC, we laid down vocal tracks for two more tunes. The Recording Process (our at least our method)

I recently loaded a new version of Geri and some of you are probably wondering what's the difference betwen versions... Simple...The way the we record is we all play and I sing a scratch vocal track with the sole intent of getting decent drum tracks. Then we layer in guitars, bass, vocals, backing vocals, and lead guitar tracks....then we spend hours mixing and adding effects. wa-la a song...This one is pretty much done....probably some additional mixing and effects...but that's about it...Look… Continue
